Vitality(VZZF042) was born on June 8, 2001 in the Zappa Mob. Her mother was Lollipop the dominant female and her father was Ares the dominant male at the time. Vitality was born with three litter-mate, a brother named Ryozo(VZZM041) and two sisters named Rue(VZZF043) and Sputnik(VZZF044). All four pups survived their first four weeks and started foraging with the adults. However in October, Ryozo's sister Sputnik disappeared at the age of three months while the group was foraging. Vitality and her two remaining litter-mates made it to their first birthday and became adult meerkats. In March 2002 Rue was evicted and disappeared with another female. Ryozo left the group in September 2002 with a few other males to formed the Gattaca. Vitality remained in the Zappa helping out with the pups and sentry post. In December, her father Ares died leaving the Zappa without a dominant male. Vitality is still alive today in the Zappa.
